BRUNO’S FUNERAL
On May 8th, Wednesday Bruno left us, the sudden rupture of an aortic aneurysm ended his journey.
Those that followed were sad days, difficult for us here, so far from Mida, and also for the whole African community, for his African friends, collaborators and children. Saying "his" children is the only way to define what they represented for Bruno. In fact, it was his friends, his children, his pupils, his family, the only ones who had rekindled a smile on his face.
So Bruno, we let you go back to your beloved wife up there who, like us, will be proud of you for how you have chosen to end your existence.
The love you sowed is tangible from the images of your funeral, a ceremony totally organized by the priest of the mission, Father Martin, with deacon Alex and all the Community, with the children there to wrap you for the last time with their warmth and their colors.
The love you sowed goes on sprouting... not a single day of school and canteen has been lost since you left us, because in Mida your friends – our friends - are carrying on the wonderful work you began.
We will always remember you Bruno... you will remain for all of us a great example and a precious memory!
GOOD BYE, BRUNO...
